Orange-red carotenoid
Apocarotenal (or trans-β-apo-8'-carotenal) is an orange-red colored pigment found in citrus fruits and green vegetables. It’s ideal for use in foods like processed cheese and beverages – and compared to certain natural pigments, offers you ease-of-use and superior color stability.
As the company responsible for the world’s first commercial synthesis of β-Carotene (and the global leader in carotenoid production), we have the experience and capabilities to help make your products healthier, more attractive - and more profitable.
Our vast assortment of color choices can be formulated into your applications (singly or mixed). They are tailor-made to meet your exact product specifications and address common challenges of supply, cost, quality, application and regulatory requirements. And they are available in liquid and powder form - depending on your target application.
From pale lemon yellow to vibrant orange and red, we can provide a vast assortment of color choices. CaroCare® can be formulated into your applications, singly or mixed, to produce a virtually unlimited number of color tones and shades, formulated to meet your needs.
Apocarotenal helps you maintain uniform color consistency throughout your product line. Whereas certain food dyes and extracts have a tendency to become unstable and fade over time, our carotenoids are stable and far more tolerant to the effects of direct sunlight.
Apocarotenal is a carotenoid found naturally in spinach and citrus fruits - and is also a pre-cursor to vitamin A. It’s part of our family of carotenoids that provide health benefits to your products – for example as antioxidants in the body to protect cells, tissues and organs.
