Quali®-B (Vitamin B6)

Vitamin B6 is an essential nutrient, supporting numerous functions in the body.

Vitamin B6 Overview

Vitamin B6, a water-soluble vitamin, is found in three different natural forms: pyridoxine, pyridoxamine, and pyridoxal - all of which are normally found in foods. This nutrient is essential as it helps the body convert food into glucose, which is used to produce energy. Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, the regulation of hormonal activity, the formation of red blood cells and cells of the immune system. Vitamin B6 is most commonly used in food fortification, nutritional supplements and therapeutic products such as capsules, tablets and ampoules. Vitamins, mostly of the B-complex variety, are widely used in the enrichment of cereals.
