Vitamin A Overview
Vitamin A is a generic term for a group of fat-soluble compounds related to retinol. The carotenoid ‘beta-carotene’ is most efficiently converted into retinol, making it an important form of vitamin A. Sufficient intake of this nutrient may help support better vision (especially night vision), growth and development, immune function and may also be beneficial for reproductive health.
