The gold-standard in enzymatic oil degumming solutions, Purifine® 3G enables you to recover up to 3% more oil from your production (depending on the starting phospholipid content) - while reducing oil content in gums to as low as 15%.
It works by breaking down phospholipids into water-soluble and oil-soluble fragments, which forms oil as well as breaking the emulsion formation - thus making the separation between gum and oil phase more efficient.
As a result, it helps you mitigate against rising costs and raw material inconsistency – all while lowering your carbon footprint with less waste and energy use.
To maximize enzyme performance, you’ll need an additional retention tank to hold the degumming process; and our team will need to ensure that your processing parameters - like temperature and pH - correspond to specific enzyme requirements.
We developed Purifine® LM in direct response to producers looking for a low CAPEX solution that helps them do more with less.
You can use it directly in the water degumming process thanks to unique thermal stable properties that are compatible with typical operational temperatures of 75-85 °C.
As a result, you can typically expect a ~0.5-1% oil yield and 10% acetone insoluble (AI) increase in industrial usage depending on your crude oil phosphorus content. What’s more, you achieve all this while maintaining the same oil quality as water-degummed oil (ie, with a phosphorus level of 100-200 ppm).
There are now 10 plants globally are using or trialling Purifine® LM. The reason? As demand and prices continue to increase, so does the revenue potential of this unique solution.
If you’re a vegetable oil producer striving for substantial efficiency increases but with a relatively low investment required, our Purifine® PLA1 can improve your yield by up to 2% over conventional refining.
Purifine® PLA1 requires the same-or-lower dosage compared to other enzymatic solutions in the market, which enables you to do more with less, with lower cost-in-use.
It also enables a simpler, safer, more efficient and cleaner process. For example, it has a higher reaction temperature (up to 70°C) and eliminates the need for caustic (chemical) additions because it works at a lower pH. This in turn enables better oil separation and results in a clean centrifuge, thanks to the liquid lyso-gums.
And did we mention it’s more sustainable? Based on a recent lifecycle assessment, Purifine® PLA1 was shown to reduce the carbon footprint of the production process by 30-35% compared to a non-enzymatic solution.
