Royal dsm-firmenich, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, announces it has acquired BioCare Copenhagen A/S, based in Copenhagen (Denmark). With the acquisition, dsm-firmenich expands its offering in gut health ingredients with probiotics, an attractive market segment in nutritional ingredients, growing an estimated 7% per year. Financial details will not be disclosed at this time.
