From cows to consumers: introducing total dairy solutions from DSM

DSM introduces a fresh approach to dairy ingredients at Fi Europe 2011, consolidating its position as the single largest provider of total dairy solutions to the industry worldwide. This innovative approach involves complete vertical integration of all dairy capabilities, from animal feed and DSM’s award-winning enzymes and cultures for dairy processing to unparalleled value-added nutritional ingredients supporting Human Nutrition & Health.

The new strategy enhances the quality of the entire value chain for customers, with DSM’s dairy capabilities spanning animal nutrition, dairy enzymes and cultures, and vitamins, minerals and micronutrients that enhance dairy food and beverage products targeting a range of desired health benefits. Vitamin D and calcium, for example, play a vital role in supporting healthy bones and physical development.

In addition to Food Innovation Centers in Europe, South America and Asia, DSM recently opened a state-of-the-art Applications Lab in New Jersey to enhance its innovation capabilities. The laboratory features a fully equipped pilot plant and sensory analysis facilities for all stages of dairy applications. These include optimized production processes, improving product quality, testing new ingredients and analyzing a range of products.
