RONOZYME® HiPhos™

dsm-firmenich PERFORMANCE SOLUTIONS

RONOZYME® HiPhos™ performs day after day after day after day

Deliver unmatched stability for consistent pig performance. While many may think all phytases are the same, they can perform very differently.

The unmatched stability of RONOZYME® HiPhos™ allows improved digestibility of phytate-bound phosphorus in feeds. By using RONOZYME® HiPhos™, you can reduce the use of expensive inorganic phosphates resulting in substantial savings, from $3 to $7, on feed costs.

RONOZYME® HiPhos™ better optimizes phosphorus use and value

Customers are always looking for greater efficiency. Our RONOZYME® HiPhos is the result of our commitment for developing a phytase enzyme which could deliver ever-greater benefits.

RONOZYME® HiPhos took feed phytases to the next level. This exceptionally powerful feed phytase greatly increases the amount of plant phosphorus available to the animal and far less inorganic phosphorus needs to be added to the diet, resulting in substantial feed cost savings.

Increases in live weight gain and improvements in feed conversion can be observed as a result of phytate being broken down by RONOZYME® HiPhos. Alongside the performance and health benefits, RONOZYME® HiPhos also provides superior thermostability throughout the feed manufacturing process allowing for reliable nutrient recommendations. Lastly, the use of RONOZYME® HiPhos has shown to reduce environmental impact, helping to support and advance sustainable poultry production

Unmatched Stability

Stable throughout the phases of feed production.

Consistent Performance

Performs regardless of inclusion rate or conditions.

Better Sustainability

Reduces waste into the environment.

Not all phytases are equal.

Manufacturer’s recommendations vary considerably in terms of units (FTU, FYT, or U/kg diet) to replace a given amount of phosphorus. This difference can be attributed to several factors:

  • The source of the production enzyme gene impacts several enzyme characteristics, including stability and efficacy.

  • Phytase analytical procedures can express the units differently. Differences in buffer, for example, can “reduce” the number of expressed units by 50% or more to falsely suggest a phytase is twice as effective. Thus, assayed activity is a poor predictor.

  • Today’s phytases are stabilized with a quick-release pH-mediated coating, or by genetically engineering the protein itself.

Despite these efforts, not all phytases perform equally when subjected to the rigors of feed processing or storage.

RONOZYME® HiPhos™ is the most heat stable and reliable phytase.

The proprietary coating technology in RONOZYME® HiPhos™ protects the enzyme to make it heat-stable throughout the pelleting process:

  • Protects from environmental factors like heat and humidity, which could break it down before it can work in the animal.

  • Provides a longer shelf life, allowing RONOZYME® HiPhos™ to effectively and consistently release more energy and phytate-bound nutrients (including phosphorus, calcium and trace minerals) than any other phytase.

A stability comparison of three phytase sources showed that using a phytase without accounting for potential losses in activity can reduce growth performance by as much as 5 to 8 percent.

RONOZYME® HiPhos™ better optimizes phosphorus use and value.

Because RONOZYME® HiPhos™ maintains superior phytase stability throughout stages of feed production, RONOZYME® HiPhos™ nutrient recommendations can be used to determine rates needed to optimize nutrition, health, performance and value.

The improved digestibility of phytate-bound phosphorus in feeds by phytase also allows you to reduce the use of expensive inorganic phosphates and improve sustainability by reducing waste into the environment.

With RONOZYME® HiPhos™, there’s no comparison.

RONOZYME® HiPhos™ provides unmatched stability, which allows for precise dosing and consistent results. Talk to an expert to discover how you can optimize the performance and value of phytases in your swine.
