Animal Nutrition & Health

Mid-Year Message from Kristin Bonham to Our Customers

Dear ANH Customers,

I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer. As we prepare for fall, I wanted to take time to share a few remarks regarding some of the changes you may have seen from dsm-firmenich.

In today’s ‘The Digest’ newsletter, you may notice that we’ve officially updated our name and brand to dsm-firmenich. We announced the joining of our two companies on May 9th this year and have spent these past three months making the transition to one new, combined company. Moving forward, DSM Digest will become The Digest, where we’ll continue to deliver the same informative, educational articles you’ve come to expect. We are excited to continue evolving our content, resources and offerings, all while delivering innovation and a high level of quality and service to you and your colleagues.

As we continue to make this transition to one new company, we are staying focused on market dynamics and remain agile in our approach to market needs. Across the industry, the vitamin market continues to face significant headwinds including increased production costs, ongoing geopolitical tensions and intense competition. While we are not alone in these challenges, we at dsm-firmenich must take steps to shape the future by ensuring cost-competitiveness and accelerating high-growth and innovative areas for a sustainable Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) business.

To help ensure we achieve our vision while remaining a strong and competitive partner for you, we are taking steps to right-size our business through reduced overall organizational cost and an optimized business model. Moving forward, dsm-firmenich will operate two business units within ANH – a Vitamin Unit focused on ensuring cost competitiveness, end-to end efficiency and long-term stability for our customers and a Solutions Unit specific to our Performance Solutions and Precision Services portfolio, with a focus on accelerated growth and innovation.

This structure will better allow us to take the right approach by refocusing our teams and efforts on the necessary needs of each unit. Importantly, as we implement these changes, know our commitment to providing you with high quality vitamins, innovative performance solutions and precision nutrition products, solutions and services remains unchanged.

Look for more from us on these updates in the coming months. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or your account manager. Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership.

Kind Regards,

Kristin Bonham
